Wax and Stain Removal

Wax on a carpet or textile can ruin our entire happiness. Most probably it will be an aftereffects of a night function in our home. May be it is a candle dinner with our friends or a dear one. Anyway this candle wax stain can ruin all our happiness. If it is a colorless wax, we do not need to worry much. If it is a colored wax, it can even cause a permanent stain on the cloth. So if we find a wax stain on a material or cloth we must immediately act. I think it is better everyone should learn the basic steps to remove wax from an object.

Our first step should be analyze the object and check how much wax present on it. If it is a metallic object, you can remove the wax by the help of a knife or sandpaper. While using these two instruments to remove wax, we should be very conscious. It is because sandpaper and knife can damage the object. Also this method is not recommended on cloths and carpets. It is because sandpaper and knife can damage the fibers. So now we can check our second method of wax removal.

This method is entirely different from the previous method. It is freezing the wax and make is hard. So it will be very easy to remove the wax from fiber. In this method we keep waxed cloth in a freezer for six hours. It will make the wax very hard and crackable. Now we should take the waxed object out and press the wax with a little bit force. Wax will be easily removed. This step is best suited for small items which can get in to a freezer. For big materials we need to keep ice cubes in a plastic cover and keep it over the waxed portion for six hours.

After removing the wax from the cloth, we should check whether there is any wax stain present or not. To remove any wax stain we should apply alcohol over the stain. We can use white cloth to remove the stain from the material. Sometimes we need to use special chemicals to remove wax stain from carpets and dress.
